About Medical Residency

Following graduation from medical school, Physicians continue to develop their skills through structured entry-level positions known as Medical Residencies. Through the residency model, new physicians work alongside experienced physicians known as "Supervising Physicians", who are able to guide the early-career development of the Medical Resident for three years.

Sovah Health is proud to be an academic institution who offers a comprehensive Family Medicine Residency Program. When a patient accesses care at the Family Medicine Residency Clinic, they should expect to receive the same great care as they would receive at any other medical facility. A fully trained Physician will evaluate your medical needs, offer medical advice, prescribe medicines when needed, and make referrals for additional care when necessary.
